Social Inclusion
Overview
Vale in the Community is committed to providing sporting opportunities to as many people as possible regardless of ability, race, gender, sexual orientation.
We actively challenge discrimination of any kind but particularly in sport and each year we support the one game one community week of action and the Staffordshire FA in delivering their County Strategy.
For the 2009/10 season Vale in the Community are entering an adult Deaf football team in the Staffordshire FA Ability Counts League, watch this space for regular updates of their progress!
Ground Visits

We were pleased to welcome a group of 13-18 year old students from the Meadows School in Leek during May 2011. These young people have attended special school from the age of 5 and they especially enjoy going out into the community to learn about different places of work.
Although many were in wheelchairs this did not prevent them from taking part in several ball related exercises delivered by our community staff at Vale Park.
The behind the scenes tour incorporated the Sure Start Children's Centre, watching a player training session, the matchday exec boxes including the one used by Port Vale fan Phil "the Power Taylor" and a pitchside visit.
Port Vale Assistant Manager Geoff Horsefield dropped in to say hello along with Vale player Adam Yates. The Headteacher of the Meadows Chris Williams passed on his thanks to all members of staff involved in the day at Vale Park for their organisation and implementation of the days programme of events and commented how much the staff and young people enjoyed their day with the Valiants
One Game One Community
Each year Port Vale FC Community Trust support the "One Game One Community" campaign (formerly Kick Racism out of football) the aims are to challenge discrimination in any form and promote equality in all events involving Port Vale Football Club.
